New winter opening hours

From Monday, November 1, 2021 to Sunday, March 27, 2022, the new winter opening hours apply:

Opening hours:
Monday and Tuesday: closed
Wednesday to Saturday: 9:00 - 17:00
Sunday: 10:00 - 17:00

Training times for racing kart:
Wednesday to Suturday 9:00 - 12:00 / 13:30 - 17:00

Training times for motorbikes:
Saturday9:00 - 12:00 / 13:30 - 17:00

On appointment and for group events, we are also happy to be there for you outside of the opening times.

Annual closing

The kart track will be closed from December 24, 2021 (from 12:00) to January 11, 2022.
The kart track restaurant will be closed from December 23, 2021 to January 31, 2022.

Adaptation motorcycle training

Since the legal framework is becoming more and more strict and our operating license is issued by the cantons, we are legally obliged to ban motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of over 125ccm on the Kappelen kart track from January 1, 2022. We are also struggling with the increased noise emissions from motorcycles. For these reasons, the board of directors and the responsible at Kartbahn Kappelen AG had to decide on the following step:

From January 1, 2022, only motorcycles with electric motors will be permitted for regular training.

The training times are:
Winter time: no operation
Summer time (from March 28, 2022): Tuesday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

For petrol-powered mopeds up to 100ccm, training units take place on the Tuesday and Friday before the Kappelen Trophy from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Moped Cup at the Kappelen Trophy can thus be maintained.

We are aware that these measures are very drastic for many and that for most of them it is no longer possible to train with the existing two-wheelers. However, if we fail to comply with the legal framework, we would risk losing our operating license, which would result in the closure of the entire company.
